Апстракт:
Recent advancements in the field of water science has led to a new important finding that water has four phases, and that cell water in living organisms is in exactly that fourth – so called, gel phase [1]. The state of water in living cells could be used as an important parameter in diagnostics since it was discovered that water in cancer cells differ comparing to healthy cells. Apparently, water in cancer cells is more bulk, while in the healthy cells it is more structured [2], in another words in gel – phase. However, methods for characterization of this phase of water which could be also used in vivo, on living cells and tissues is rather limited. Here we report using near infrared spectroscopy characterization of exclusion zone water next to Nafion (very well-known and potent exclusion zone creator), with application of newly developed approach Aquaphotomics [3] for identifying water absorbance pattern associated with formation of exclusion zone water. Using this approach in numerous repeated experiments we were able to correlate formation of larger water structures with increased number of hydrogen bonds formed between water molecules. The method used could also be developed for monitoring the state of water in living structures, because it is rapid, cost effective and most importantly non –invasive. In conclusion, it could be used as a diagnostic tool to monitor state of water in living cells and provide insight in how it changes in pathological states. [1] G. H.
